Traveling with Grandparents. Don't know where to stay!

I'm not surprised the cabins are in your budget, that's often why we choose them. I know they are technically "moderate" resorts, but since they're so different from hotel rooms, they're hard to compare to CSR, CBR etc. Except for one visit to AoA, I have only stayed in deluxe resorts (BC, WL, AKL, Poly) and the cabins, and I feel equally at home at both.

Not quite everyone. @DeanDoug who responded, is a man. He recommended POFQ.

Your quite right I"m made a mistake did read his post but when I finished reading all of them and went to write mine didn't notice his username. I do appreciate you correcting me as
I really don't like to say something that isn't true.

Well budget is no more than 300 per room per night if 2 rooms. I just got a good quote for old key west studios. 288.00 per studio and we could request to be next to each other. If we are looking at the cabin, that is in our budget. When I go with DD and DH, DH is not a dawn to dusk parks person, but my parents are, so going with my parents and my daughter will be more.time.in parks with maybe one day off. Afternoon breaks at the pool. With DH we usually do a few days at the parks and more days at the pool as it is winter and we just want a break from VT weather and fun and sun. So.the trip with my parents will be up to the parks at opening!

$288 that's around $20pp is that from the devil himself...high is $17pp or $18pp.....average especially for OKW is below $15pp ( you can probably find $13pp) even at 7 months out. I don't know your dates
but lets say OKW June sun-sat so a weeknight is 13 points per night (14 later in month) weekend nights are 17 points per night (19 later in month) So lets take the 7 day 6 night stay which totals 82 points x $15 =$1230 per studio
comes out to $205 a night a little more later in month. Just checked WDW.com for POR and its $300 plus room tax per night so why would anyone want to stay mod when you can stay deluxe for the same or less
lets say much less. You can make a request at any resort whether it happens or not is another thing. The resort does its best to do what it can with a request. I get the running around from sun up to sun down but going to a deluxe at the end of a long hot day compared to a mod is an apple and an orange. In the end money is money and I always go for what gives me the most for my dollar.

You might not get two studios together at OKW since most of them are located at the ends of the building. You might be on one end of the building and the other at the other end. Or on one floor and the other one above or below the first. There are only four buildings where studios are next to each other and they are located in the inner corners of the U shaped buildings. They only have one window in the studio and that is the porch door. No window on the wall with the entrance to the villa because of the odd configuration. These studios might be side by side, but they do not connect. These buildings do not have elevators and have three floors. Getting to that top floor is a real pain (been there twice, never again).

It's going to be hard to find OKW points for less than $15 a point. If you use a broker, you are going to pay more. Owners are not letting their points go for free any more.

Thanks for letting me know. This is helpful.

I agree. That is why we have rented points at DVC or used Starwood points at Swan/Dolphin. I would love to stay in POR Royal Room but I just cannot justify a cost that could get me a room at, for example, Wilderness, for about the same price.

I would wait until your 7 months out rent points and stay deluxe for the price of a mod. If you need help I would be happy to steer you to members that are willing to give a good price per point.
Nothing more nothing less.

Also check for a quote for a family suite at Swan or Dolphin, call and let them know you would need a separate room to accommodate a snorer and see if they can help, might be in your budget. I had a good quote a few years ago but didn’t book it. Lots of good suggestions here.

I agree OKW studios cannot be guaranteed to be close, it happened to me, separate building in different area.
