We're in the process of buying into DVC (SSR) and I was wondering if
anyone has any experience in booking vacations for 5 through the
Concierge or World Passport Collection. My wife and I have three
children, 4, 6, and 10. We'll be taking a lot of trips to Disney of
course, but would also like to mix it up a little and are concerned
about the availability of destinations that can accomodate 5 without
the need for an upgraded room or worse yet two rooms. Just want to
know some first hand experience in advance. Any insight would be
appreciated. Thanks

We are a family of 6, myself, hubby, 4 kids (10, 9, 2, 1). We ran into this problem often, which is why we ended up purchasing a time share (we chose not to buy DVC, because we weren't happy about only owning it for a specified number of years, we continually add points to our existing time share, so that we can split and deed it to the children when they are grown. We want them to continue the vacation traditions with their own families).

We purchased at Bonnet Creek and absolutely love it.

The bulk of resorts available to us through our time share company are "suites" and we have no problem.

When talking to DVC salesperson, ask to see the brochure listing other resorts, most will list room types available.

Good luck!

You are better staying at DVC resorts with DVC.
