traveling with a 6 month old

Ok veterans I need lots of advice. We will be traveling with my 6 month old grandson. We will be @ WL from 7/9 -7/17. We are not new to Disney but its been a long time. So lots of advice Please. I dont really know where to start. I know it will be lots of planning and everything.

What sould we take in the park
rides to include or avoid
where should we eat

wow so much to think about....

My wife and I have been going to WDW the last two and half years with DS8, DD6, DD4 and DS1 on five separate trips. My two youngest were practically raised at WDW. Before our first trip we were scared our then 18 month-old daughter would not handle the trip well, but she was a breeze. We took our DS1 to WDW when he was 2 months old and yet again when he was 9 months old. Each time, he was wonderful.

The number one thing I would say when traveling with a baby, is to bring your own stroller--one that has a detachable baby carrier seat. Whenever we'd go to the fantasy land rides (which I highly recommend for infants and toddlers), I would just detach the car seat and take our baby with me on the ride with the carrier seat.

As for staying at the parks all day long, we plan plenty of rest stops at the baby centers that each park has to feed and change the baby. The baby centers are equipped with eveything a baby would need: such as a micorwave to heat up formula, changing centers, clean washrooms and various baby products, in case you run out of different things.

As for restaurants, Disney has a plenty of restaurants that cater to parents (or in your case grandparents) who have infants with them. We have never met a restaurant that was incovenient for our large family of mostly youngsters.
