We're leaving THIS Thursday, April 14 at 6pm (CST) for WDW. It will take about 12 -13 hours. Last year when we drove to WDW, we took a suggestion from the board to take hwy 429 to Caribbean beach resort. It was a great suggestion! But this time when I entered driving directions into Google maps - it suggested the following route to avoid tolls. If anyone has any suggestions on whether or not these directions are worth it or should we stick to I75 then Hwy 429 to our hotel. (We are coming from Lake Charles, LA) Please help us! Thanks!

7.Merge onto I-10 E; Passing through Mississippi, Alabama & Entering Florida
Go 444 mi
8. Take exit 296A to merge onto I-75 S toward Tampa
Go 108 mi
9. Slight left at FL-91 S (signs for Orlando/Turnpike S) Partial toll road
Go 19.2 mi
10. Take exit 289 to merge onto FL-25 S/US-27 S toward FL-19/Tavares/Clermont (Partial toll road)
Go 27.9 mi
11. Slight right to merge onto FL-530 E/US-192 E/W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy toward Disney World/Kissimmee
Go 5.9 mi
12. Make a U-turn at N Old Lake Wilson Rd
Go 479 ft
13. Take the 1st right onto Maingate Ln
3011 Maingate Ln, Kissimmee, FL 34747‎

Whenever we have driven from Toronto - Orlando along I-75 we always went along that route and once we were on the Florida Turnpike we then took that to I-4 when entering WDW, because it's the route we know the best from our previous drives down.

Hope you are having an awesome time. When you return- please let me know which route you took. I am also leaving from Lake Cahrles in May and I've never traveled this way. We always travel through the toll and it takes us
12-13 hours. Also - which Radisson are you staying at? We were thinking of staying at the Radisson/Celebration for a few nights before we check into POR, but the reviews have been really bad and I'm a little hesitant. Thanks!
