ok, so its July and i thought i'd begin networking for ideas, suggestions, travel tips, even people who may want to travel together, room together, or just hang out. my daughter and i are embarking on a trip from Philadelphia to Disneyland for her birthday in August. we are open to anyone who knows anything about being safe and efficient. it may sound like an extravagant thing to do but trust me after the year we had so far, she deserves it. thanks for any input. if you are any family or person looking to split the room i already reserved, let me know, my daughter is 4, and i'd be happy to meet any other people with kids her age to hang out with. we are coming in mid august by train for the Bats Day in the Fun Park event, so we are looking for also ways and tips on getting from the station to the hotel, (Doubletree Anaheim), and a possible trip to a beach at some point as well. Thank you.

I am from the Philadelphia area and just got back. My suggestions as far as traveling is to find a non stop flight. It is already a long travel day and the last thing you need is dragging a 4 year old on layovers and god forbid if you have flight delays. I had two hour delays both ways. Oh wait, you said you were going by train. Well the Anaheim station is not far from the park. We stayed at the Motel 6 (do not recommend) and the cab ride was under $10.00.
