I don't think you are permitted to travel with propane through the tunnel. I believe you can take the bridge...I'm thinking the Francis Scott Key...? It's been a while since we've driven..but I'm sure there will be someone who will come along shortly who can be more specific and give you exact directions right to the check in at FW!
We were told that we had to take the bridge..yes the Frances Scott Key one. Well, one time we missed the exit to this and continued on to the tunnel....a nervous wreck the whole time....we followed the sign that said trucks..rv's..and went right up to the toll, paid the girl and went on through. Apparently it wasn't a problem!!
The official rule is no Propane tanks but it is not always enforced. When it is enforced, the fine is hefty, $250 sticks in my head but I am not sure. We drive around rather than risk the fine.
Believe me....we did NOT want to be there! Hubby was so far over~~he just doesn't listen too well~~that there was NO way to get off to take the WWB w/o tipping the motorhome! I'm not a fan of tunnels to begin with. I would rather take the bridge any day. I was shocked that they let us through w/o even a double look. Not much to be said for security!
