Traveling Europe AFTER a Mediterranean Cruise

At 10/11, if Bball is important to them and it is possible to do an alternative trip (post vs pre land), I think they will resent not being at Bball. I would not want to start a big trip with any shadow on it. Plus, the dynamics of a divorced family have lots of give and take. This is one time that I would "give." And, yes, I have been in that position before. DH and I stood our ground for certain things, but "gave" a lot to keep things calm for DSS. Now, DSS is 30, no regrets on any of those "gives," and some were really big ones--like what high school DSS went to.

I know when my son played little league the games, practices, playoffs and team outings were really important to my dh and my son. Male bonding thing. I think I would give on this and be happy they have a dad that's involved so many kids don't. I have two boys and I can't even imagine doing it on my own.

I think travelling after the cruise will only be as stressful as you make it.

It's easy to tour around London without getting exhausted, there are a million fantastic things to see but it doesn't mean you HAVE to see them all!! Get the kids to pick 2 or 3 things they're really interested in seeing (I highly recommend the Natural History museum) and spread it out over a few days with a couple of fun meals and some shopping (Hamleys!!) and people watching. You'll have an amazing time xxx
