Traveler's checks at the World?

We are leaving in a few days and were wondering if there will be any problems using traveler's checks. Can they be used in the parks at shops(I would assume so) how about restuarants and snack stands. What about resorts and resort restuarants other than your own? Does anyone know if there is a max you can cash per day?(at your hotel and at the parks) Thanks in advance for all the help. This site has been such a big help to us, I use it way more than the official Disney site.

As far as I know, you can use them anywhere. I went twice in 2002, and I used them both times! I'm not sure if there is a limit to how many you can cash, but I know you can use them. (from a newbie with Traveler's cheques) you get cash change when you purchase some thing with them. I hope that helps!

I've also used them repeatedly while at WDW, except that I've never tried using them at snack stands.

Our first big trip ever was Disney in 2001...and we stayed at the WL...anyway - I didn't know how to plan a trip but was programmed from childhood by Carl Malden etc. "not to leave home without them"...

So I took them...$2500 of them...

Luckily when I paid my bill I had a desk clerk with a GOOD sense of humor.

I came to learn later that they don't make a practice of cashing such large amounts at a time - but they realized they obviously had no choice...

i always take travelers cheques in large denominations(usually 100.00's). i pay the balance of our room bill when i arrive, and usually a little more with them, then i can just charge everything on my room key. if i need a little cash for snack stands etc. i just cash them as i need them at the resort guest services or in the parks. i have never had any problems using them, in shops or restuarants, etc. i prefer this to using a credit card because then i get charged a service charge for changing my money into US funds , by using travelers cheques there are no more bills when i get home, the trip has been paid for
