We're staying off site (about a mile) from Disney. We have a 9:15 breakfast at the Crystal Palace and am wondering how long it will take us to get there. We have 2 small children in tow so I figure that will add extra time. I guess the park doesn't open until 9am, but I still need to get there.

It kind of depends on where you're staying. From Kissimmee, it's an easy straight run into the front entrance to the World, then into the parking lot. From Lake Buena Vista it's a bit longer, you need to cut through some areas like DownTownDisney. From Kissimmee, figure about an hour from your door to the Crystal Palace. From LBV, figure about 1:30, door to door.

This also assumes you already have park passes, etc.

I assume you have a car? If you're getting a shuttle from a hotel, you'll need to work with their schedule, and give it some extra time, to boot.

We're staying at the Sheraton Vistana Resort on Vistana Centre Road in Orlando. It looks like it's right outside the park (probably about a mile)

OK, you're going to be off of Rt 535, near International Drive; on the opposite side of Route I-4 from WDW. Give it 1 hour 30 minutes, hotel to Crystal Palace.

There is a back way in from that side that may cut 10-15 minutes off, but unless you've been that way before, I don't know if I'd try it trying to make breakfast.

Have fun.

Thanks. I'll plan for the 1-1/2 hours. Is it ok if Grandma is more excited than the Grandkids  ? We were there on our honeymoon 27 years ago and then again in 1992. I love the commercial that shows the dad as too excited to sleep!

Is it too soon to check park hours for your dates? Also, I don't know much about this, but I thought remembered seeing a separate ticket gate off to the side for people needing to get in for early dining. You still need to get to the MK and go through bag check. Others will know about it, you may want to ask. :)

I've found my hotels to be helpful with providing a map and directions, but I'd ask the night before!
