Travel time LAX/DL on a late Thursday morning in April

Hi All.

Just wondering if anyone can give me their best guesstimate as to travel time from Terminal 2 at LAX to Paradise Pier late on a Thursday morning. Flight is scheduled to land at 11:25 am and we're in Business Class with only carry-ons (so hopefully out the door by 11:45 if all goes well). We'll take one of the Airport shuttles to DL, rather than renting a car.

Trying to see how feasible it might be to check-in/drop our bags at PP and then taxi or uber to Angels Stadium for a 12:37 first pitch. Guessing best case scenario, we might miss the first inning and make it to the game by 1?

Tell me I'm not delusional (even if I am)...

I really don't think you'll make it. The travel time alone could be an hour.

You could still be taxiing to your gate at 11:45. If the shuttle doesn't make any other stops, it could be an hour to the hotel. Your best bet would probably be to rent a car and drive directly to the stadium, but even then I think you're looking at closer to a 1:30 arrival at the stadium.

Go to maps.google.com and you can set you starting and ending location there. And then set the time you are leaving to the date and time.

I chose a random Thursday in April at 1145 am, and it said you can make it to paradise pier in 50 minutes.
I found it to be reasonable accurate estimate, but la traffic is so volatile and anything can screw it up.

LAX construction will add a few minutes getting from LAX to the freeway.

So a hour is a good guess. then you are looking at another 15 to 20 minutes trying to get close to Angel Stadium, and then walk to the gates, go through security (make sure and read the allowed items inside the stadium before you go). Plus the time it takes to check in and leave the bags with the Bell Hops. You might not even need to check in, just tell the Bell Hops you want to go to the park (well, ballpark) and will check in after 3 PM.

Unfortunately it looks like timing isn't going to work, and this was the only Angels or Dodgers home game when we're in CA. Boo...

Maybe if I think happy thoughts, the plane will land early, the shuttle will be waiting for us, there won't be any traffic, and we can make it to catch 6 or 7 innings of the game. If not, I guess we'll just have to suck it up and go to DL that day - sigh...

They're our favorite NL team (even since my daughter - who was teeny tiny at the time/think it might have been the trip from my avatar - was shown dancing on the jumbotron for about 30 seconds) and I would rent a car to drive down to an evening game if they were at home, but unfortunately, they're on the road as well.
