Not a bad price for these little gems.

I can see it for events where rapid uploads are necessary. I'm wondering how useful it is for the more routine photographer (me) especially where I'm creating image files as large as 45 meg (each). WiFi can't be anywhere near as fast as my USB 3.0 connection.

If you were to just use it as a memory card, The moment you were within range of a "known" access point, the card starts uploading as soon as it has power.

There are many different ways you can use the card. There is also an eye-fi server hack you can do on the Seagate Wireless Hardrives. That is where I would see the greatest advantage for large RAW uploads.
