Travel Options from Orlando Sanford To Disney World

Hi there,

Me and my future Husband are travelling to Disney World from the UK for our Honeymoon (Yeah!!)

I was wondering if anybody could let us know the cheapest way to get from Orlando Sanford to Disney World? Are there shuttle buses that can you there, or do you have to get a taxi?

Any reply is welcome, I look forward to hearing from you guys!!

Welcome to the DIS, and congrats on the upcoming nuptials! Your best bet for updated info. is to check out Sanford's website - they have a page showing the ground transportation options, most (if not all) with links to rates and such. I found that renting a car was cheaper than using a towncar service, and the drive along Route 417 was no hassle at all.

As noted by the previous poster, best bet is going to the airport's website and then clicking on ground transportation. The site is: http://www.orlandosanfordairport.com/

We're also flying into Sanford and determined that a rental car suited our needs best. The limo services are $50-55 each way to WDW resorts and, by the time you add in a tip, you're looking at a $130 round trip. It isn't that much more to get a rental car -- maybe the same depending on how long you're staying.

If you're not comfortable driving on the wrong side of the road, I'm sure some other DISers can offer opinions on the limo and taxi services from Sanford.
