We are planning a cruise in December. Disney's travel insurance seems really expensive. I'm looking for another insurance company that I can trust that has a better price. Does anyone know of any others? I have already booked the trip but not the airfare. Can I get the insurance as soon as I book the airfare?

Thank you,
Kerianne

disneyfanzz, I used Access America on the recommendation of my TA. I think their website is AccessAmerica.com and their prices are listed on their website. I think there's a website that compares prices of travel insurance but I can't remember the name of it.

I bought my travel insurance within 2 wks. of booking the cruise so I could get some additional waivers. Then later I added more coverage as I added airfare and Cirque tickets for 7 people. HTH, Linda

Has anyone ever purchased trip insurance with someone other than through Disney and then had to use it? Did you have any problems with your claim? I have read many post on how Disney insurance is great but it cost so much more than anything else I can find for our group of 9.

I haven't personally had to to this, but I have had clients that had to cancel a trip and file a claim with Access America. Access America's agents are very professional and helpful and things worked out great for our clients.

Thanks everyone for your help. My computer was down all day today and I haven't been able to check out these boards. Everyone is so helpful. I will check out these sites.

Did I do something wrong? For my Dh, myself and 2 small children the price was way more than Disney. It was over $600 and I put in the minimum of coverage.
