Travel Insurance - I know I know. But trust me this is different.

To start with, I am not looking for cancellation insurance. I am PIF and I leave in 10 days. I am looking to see if any insurance out there covers additional medical if something happens. I used Geo Blue for international and that is exactly what I want. However, it says it's for intentional travel only. I want insurance that will cover a hotel room if someone gets hospitalized, a change in flight for a medical problem and such. I'm looking for insurance company names that I can use. Thank you!

I think that would be "trip interruption" coverage, not exactly additional medical. Usually it will cover hotel, meals, changes in transportation, etc. for a period of time if something comes up during your trip - medical/illness or otherwise. You can check a trip insurance comparison website online. I'd suggest before purchasing that you call and ask some specifics -- any limits, etc.

Thanks, I am aware of this. And the virus is now being covered by most insurances IF you get diagnosed with. However a lot of other things can go wrong on a trip.

There’s another website that helps find travel insurance but it’s blocked by DIS. So you might want to Google “travel medical insurance” or search Timeshare Users Group www.tugbbs.com.
