Travel from resorts to ESPN during Cheer competition January 2023.

We will be at Disney while daughter is competing in Cheer Competition. How easy will it be to get to ESPN when staying at on site resorts. Currently planning on staying at Dolphin without a car. Is it possible to easily get to ESPN without a car?

Unless Disney is offering some type of special transportation, you’ll need to Uber/Lyft. If Disney is offering transpo, if likely won’t be from the Dolphin since they discontinued buses from the Marriott properties. Now if those properties are official cheer competition hotels, maybe Marriott is offering something. Maybe call the hotel or the cheer association and inquire? I know Disney used to have buses from the All-Star resorts that ran to the ESPN complex, but it’s been a while since I’ve stayed there while those competitions were occurring.

We were there last year for my granddaughters’s competition. Took Uber to ESPN and it was very easy. We stayed at the Boardwalk. It cost about $8-10. The only buses were from the All Stars. Good luck in the competition. It was crazy at the complex but fun

Do the participants stay together as a group? Families might be in separate resorts?

Only the resorts that the people that book the UDA cheer package get transportation to ESPN . Also the entrance fee is $40 without the package , per day . Not sure if Dolphin has Magical Extras for staying there. If they do you get into ESPN for free .

Pre-Covid,in addition to the Private Buses for the Participants, there were the below routes provided by Disney for ANYONE wanting to go to ESPN Wide World of Sports to attend the Events:

All-Star Sports----All-Star Music----All-Star Movies----ESPN Wide World of Sports


Pop Century----Caribbean Beach----ESPN Wide World of Sports


BUT,last January when we were at Disney they were not providing these routes when we went to the College Cheer Championship,so it looks like they are not coming back Post-Covid.

The only transport provided was for Participants and also for Spectators traveling as part of the Team Packages.
