This year we're staying at POR for the 1st time (9/15-9/20 w/free dining!!!) but I've read various reports about the Disney buses from this resort. Is it more difficult/time consuming than say Pop? DH & DD4 have a 9am CRT breakfast, but we're thinkning of taking a cab to MK that morning. If anyone has some input/experience & can offer any advice/guidance I would really appreciate it!!

The thing about POR is that because of the size of the resort there are several internal bus stops. As a result, depending on what stop you are getting on at, you could have a couple of stops within POR before heading to the park. Or if it's very busy and you are at one of the later stops, I've even seen buses have to pass buy waiting guests because they were full. That's been rare and I'm sure another bus comes along pretty soon, but it does happen.

FWIW, cabbing to the MK isn't the greatest as you will be dropped at the TTC and will have to take the ferry or monorail from there to the MK. The resort buses drop you over on the MK side of the lagoon close to the main gate. If you do elect to take a cab, it can be better to have it drop you at the Contemporary and then take the short walk from there to the MK.

We always stay at this resort, only moderate that takes 5. We request building, 14, 18 or 15. After staying there a number of times I will say you get to know the place and which buildings are preferable. I would suggest if possible take the south depot bus, this is the main one by the general store. This is almost always the first stop and you will have room and a place to sit. Yes, you will stop at west, north and east, but this goes pretty quick. Give yourself about an hour or so to get there. We arrive September 21st. Have fun!

Thanks so much for the advice! I hadn't thought about the drop off location at MK for taxis..... Thanks again!! :)
