travel city....WHY??

Can somebody please tell me why tcd send out holiday tickets in an envelope
marked TRAVEL DOCUMENTS ???????

Surely they could be a little more discreet about the contents

It does seem a bit daft because if you`re waiting for your tickets you wont throw out an envelope with TCD on it!
They would be no use to anyone though - unless they`ve got the same name as you!!

I assumed it was to make sure they were not chucked away as junk mail - this is probably a silly question, but I would have thought it was safe as surely only the people named on the documents could use them?

I suppose if someone dodgy got hold of them they would know exactly when you go away and for how long and you might come home to an empty house!! Or someone migh take them thinking there is something in there that they could sell.

Its not just TCD. We have had this from a few tour operators and airlines and we are now getting quite used to the postman wishing us a good holiday

Are they really bad?
In all the years we've been travelling to the US, we've flown with nearly everyone, and had no real problems.

In all the years we've been travelling to the US, we've flown with nearly everyone, and had no real problems.

We have never flown with TCD so cannot comment from experience, however all airlines have problems from time to time, we fly with Virgin and in 13 flights we have been delayed twice and had to fly home the following day.
They have also made mistakes when sending out documents too so it does happen.

At the end of the day TCD over good value for money, there will be as many people praising them as hammering them.

I wouldn't worry you have a fab holiday to look forward to, I think there has been enough TCD bashing going on here recently and it's a shame you are now worried about your holiday. I also think we should be careful we do not move off the topic with this thread (not that in anyway it's my job to say this).

Every airline has it's problems, we did the first year we flew with My Traval, but it hasnt put me off travelling with them again, as these things happen, Im sure everything will be absolutly fine, please dont worry

As for Travel City Direct I have used them on many occasions, yes there were problems last August but that can happen with many airlines. Travel City deserve a lot of credit for making travelling to Florida more affordable, they have opened it up to many who can't afford the over priced flghts from Virgin or BA.
To all those travelling with TCD this summer, DON'T WORRY, you will have a great flight and a great time.

apologies but i havn't got my threads crossed, the second part of the post reflects the comments above which are not balanced or fair particularly when someone has booked for the first time with TCD
