Travel between other resorts and AKL/Boma

For the first time we'll be trying to get to Boma at AKL, but I'm a little concerned about travel time. We'll be going from POFQ on a Sunday, Dec. evening about 2 hours after Animal Kingdom closes. Will I still be able to take a bus from my resort to AK and then transfer to AKL for dinner? Any other recommendations from those more experienced travellers? Any idea how much for a cab ride if it comes to that? Thanks!

You could take a cab...probably in the $10-15 range I would think. The other thing you could do would be to take your resort bus to a park, then switch to the AKL bus. Since AK does close quite a bit earlier than the other parks, that shouldn't be too difficult. But, it would be time consuming. Then, for the return, I would take the DTD bus from AKL and then the boat back to POFQ....very nice and romantic.

I just stayed at POP and had dinner at WL. Coming back to POP took 2hours and 15 minutes. If I had know I would have taken a cab!

Yes, going from resort to resort is VERY time consuming, and at Disney, time=BIG MONEY!!! We went from POFQ to the Poly for our anniversary dinner. Seems simple, take bus from POFQ to MK, then monorail to Poly. Took a little over an hour and 45 mins, we missed our ressie (silly us, we thought an hour and 15 mins would be plenty). I think we could have walked faster. Fortunately O'Hana still had tables, but not the window/MK view seating we'd asked for (and since it was our anniversary, were hoping we'd get!).

Take the cab.

i always plan on being at a park, when i have to go to a resort. then it is a direct bus to the resort.

We took at cab back from AKL to POP this week and it cost about $17 with the tip. I don't remember the exact amount, but I usually tip around $4.00.

We're staying at Coronado Springs and are thinking of eating at Boma one night. We can take a bus from a park to AKL but I'm thinking we would have to take a bus to DTD or the Transportation Center to get back. I know the PI part of DTD runs until 2 but does anyone know what time the transportation center closes? I have seen people mention cabs but we have 6 adults in our party.

I don't think that there are buses from resorts to TTC at any time of day.

There are taxi vans that hold up to seven people, and the fare is per ride not per person
