Is there or does anyone know of a travel agent that can or will book a house/condo? I have been looking at all kinds of options, onsite/offsite, 3 hotel rooms, even camping is an option(I really want to camp at the Fort some day) There are just so many options my head is swimming, And that's not even including all the house options available.
Off site in a house seems best. I have learned a lot on here but I'm still afraid of renting from someone and then getting to Orlando with my whole family and not having anywhere to sleep.
Thanks for any help.

We rented a house for the first time last summer and did it through VRBO. After I contacted the owner I went and checked their tax records on the property and to see if there were any court actions on the house. You can also buy insurance through them. I think that cost us $30. It is just in case the house isn't what it should be, they booked twice, etc.

We rented in Sunset Lakes. It is very close to the parks. It was a 4 bed/3 bath with pool and game room.

Good luck.

I can understand your nervousness -it is the first time you will have done anything like this but there are more horror stories about guests being let down renting through companies than individuals.Once you find a home that suits your requirements take time to set up a line of good communication with the owner and do not be afraid of asking any questions at all -any good owner will never mind answering them.
You can check the ownership and other records online once you know the county where the home is and the owners name -this may help you feel better about renting direct.
The owner is the one person who will know the house inside out and be able to give you all the facts on what is and sin't there and maybe even provide something particular you need if they haven't already got it -an agent will not be able to do that.
It is a big step the first time but try to keep in mind the owner has to have faith too.

If you are uncomfortable renting by owner, consider going through a management company.

The two companies that have been recommended many, many times by people on this board are the following:

www.floridasunvacationhomes.com (this is who we use)

www.allstarvacationhomes.com

Both of the above companies have homes in Windsor Hills, Emerald Island, Sunset Lakes, Indian Creek and Formosa Gardens which are the communities closest to Walt Disney World.

Also, Dreams Unlimited (which advertises here on the DIS) also offers special promotions on some of the resorts that have 2 and 3 BR condo units, like the Sheraton Vistana.

Good luck with your search!
