Trattoria al forno- 'to go' option gone?

I just noticed that even though Trattoria al forno is back open, the 'to go' option is no longer offered. If you try to select a time it says there are no options available for dinner, and breakfast is no longer listed as a to go option at all. Has anyone heard if this is permanent or if it will be returning in the future?

I haven't heard that and I'd be so sad if it were true. On my last few trips staying at BCV, I've thought about doing it but never gotten around to it. And since it often happens to me that something I mean to do gets cancelled before I get to do it, it does make sense, kind of "it figures!"

I don't know but suspect that carryout option was only offered while the pandemic was still raging.

Restaurants were operating more as they did before the pandemic when we returned in May as opposed to our fall trip in 2021. That's why I'm guessing to-go may not be offered anymore.

Are you staying at Boardwalk? I saw somewhere recently that you can only mobile order from certain resort restaurants if staying at that resort. I am not sure if it is true. We will know in four weeks when we are there.

No, it was showing up as an option very recently. I think I was looking at it last week and there were order times available.

I think they just turn it off when they don't have enough staff to support it. I'm sure it will come back. All the TS restaurants that do this shut it off periodically. Probably just the busy holiday weekend.

That message does pop up sometimes. I've seen it pop up recently at Steakhouse 71 and Primo Piatto.

So is the general consensus that the To Go option is still available if staying at BWV? That's my favorite thing to do is order breakfast from them and take it back to the room to eat on the balcony.

I love breakfast from Trattori al Forno. I've tried to order dinner to go, staying at BCV, but I haven't been able to mobile order from there. Maybe it rejects me since I'm not at BWV.

I did to go many times but had to actually walk in and have a server take my order but it's definitely better than any other option in that area! They always prepared the food pretty quickly. I'd sometimes grab a quick drink by myself at Abracadabar while waiting.

Are you saying that, even though they don't do mobile order, I can still go there and probably get an order to go? All I want is a salad that I saw on their menu.

Absolutely. I’ve been doing it for a few years and as recently as last month. Unless something has materially changed since July then for sure. Usually get the pizza and a few other items to bring back to room. Not ideal to have to walk in and talk to server but all good

Great, thanks! Tuscan salad, get ready for me!

Honestly Trattoria is one of our favorites. Best overall option between the resorts. We live near great Italian food so it's not like it competes at those levels but honestly it's really really good food for the price and great atmosphere! Enjoy!
