I recently discovered the Sunrise Breakfast Pizza at Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s Boardwalk. It was soooooo good that I had to share my discovery. It might be the best breakfast dish I’ve ever had, inside or outside of Disney! And at $14, it might just be the best value on property. It’s easily enough for two people, is offered on the eat-in breakfast menu, and is currently offered for mobile order as well.
As described on Disney’s website menu, it comes topped with scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, bell peppers and cheese. But the surprise they don’t mention, . . . they use country sausage gravy as the pizza sauce!!! And just the right amount, not lathered in gravy, not a mess, but just enough. Admittedly, we indulge a bit on our Disney stays, and this is an indulgent-worthy treat.
The setting and staff at Trattoria al Forno enhance the meal as well. I would call the décor rustic, and the open kitchen is engaging, but not distracting. While I had not eaten at Trattoria al Forno pre-Covid, I understand the breakfast setting included a character meal. It’s unclear if that setting will return, but the staff appear to have adapted well to the more traditional breakfast setting and my family has found it quite appealing. My daughter says the iced coffee is something special too.
The pizza is delicious, filling, sharable, a good value, easily accessible whether eating in or taking out, and located at our favorite resort - Disney’s Boardwalk. The location provides you with a nice opportunity to walk off this phenomenal breakfast with a stroll over to Epcot via the International Gateway or along the water to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Anyway, that’s my favorite breakfast at Walt Disney World, what’s yours?
