We will be attending WDW for the first time Nov. 3-10th, staying at the VWL. Is a car necessary or are we better off taking a limo and using the Disney transportation the rest of the week? Thanks for the help.

That depends a lot upon what plans you have. If you plan on staying on property, you can use Disney buses and ferries from the VWL. I personally always rent a car just to have. I don't like being dependent upon others.
