Transportation to VBR from SSR

Next June, we're going to WDW and staying in a studio at SSR. We then want to spend 2 nights at VBR before going back to WDW and staying in (maybe) BWV. Where's the best place to rent a car to go to VBR. We really don't want to rent at the very beginning - or end - of our vacation bc/ we won't need it. We're flying and are using DME.

Last Christmas we rented a car from Budget, which was located in the Doubletree Hotel right at DTD. Not that far from SSR. They had a great price and were a pleasure to work with, as this was a last minute reservation for the car. I think that there may be other rental companies that have shuttles that will pick you up and your resort and take you to the rental location. Maybe National or Alamo, not sure. I'm sure you could check out their websites for more infor

Are car rental places at any of the WDW resorts? Would the front desk at SSR be able to help me with renting a car?

You could also rent from the Car Care Center near MK and they can arrange to pick you up and drop you off. I will try this next time, b/c last time I dropped off my car at the Dolphin (or was it the Swan?) and had to pay $20 cab fare back to OKW...

I also recommend the Budget rental car desk at the Doubletree Hotel. It is EASY walking distance from SSR for someone who doesn't mind walking and their rates are generally the best of any rental car agencies in the area. The only drawback is that they open at 8:00 am and close at 6:00 pm if I recall correctly. So, you might have to plan around those hours to pick up and return the car.
