We are doing a universal based stay in February but see that there is a Magic Kingdom after hours event. We will not have a car rental. How difficult will it be to get an uber or Lyft to,takes us back to RPR (for five people) either from the TTC or from the Contemporary when the event is done after 1 Am?

Uber and Lyft are plentiful in the Orlando area at all hours, and drivers monitor the park hours.
Another option would be to grab a Mears taxi from the taxi stand at TTC. They monitor park hours as well and will be waiting there.

We did the same thing a few years ago (7 people total), we walked over to Contemporary and got two Ubers from there.

Like Ross mentioned, drivers know when parks have after hours events and will be in the area. Should be no problem from either pickup location.

When taking a Uber/Lyft from Royal Pacific to disney property, am I correct in that Uber/Lyfts will not be allowed to drop us off at the Contemporary (from which we can the walk to Magic Kingdom)? Unless we have a dining reservation or room reservation?

Correct. For MK you will need to be dropped off at the TTC. Put Magic Kingdom in as your drop off location; that’s where they’ll send you.

We will no doubt be looking at get back to our hotel at RPR as soon as possible once the After Hours event is finished at 1 AM.
Having thus far stayed on disney property (and used the buses to get to/from MK), we actually have never been to TTC!

What would take the least amount of time, bearing in mind this would be around 1- 130 AM:
1. Take the quickest option from MK to TTC, which I suspect would be one of the monorails (either Express or Resort) and then get a taxi or rideshare from TTC?
2. Walk from MK to Contemporary or Grand Floridian and catch a taxi/rideshare from there?

There will be taxis waiting at TTC, which would avoid you having to wait for an Uber or Lyft.

I was thinking more about whether there would be big differences in time between going from MK to TTC vs walking from MK to Contemporary.

Walking to Contemporary might take a minute or two less, but then you’ll wait for an Uber or Lyft to arrive. It’s a six of one, half a dozen of the other situation.

We did a MVMCP in November and after the event took the monorail to the Contemporary and had an Uber pick us up to bring us back to the Portofino. It was around 1am. No trouble.

Thanks. Was it a standard wait for the Uber to arrive at the Contemporary?

Did you have to wait longer than you normally would wait for a rideshare, because it was ordered later in the evening/early morning?
i did in December, but I could see on the app that my driver took a wrong turn. Also paid about double what I would have paid during the daytime.
