I apologize in advance if this has been asked before. We are staying at Old Key West Nov. 27 to Dec. 2. We booked the Pirate cruise for Nov. 28. I was just wondering what my options were with transportation to the GF that early in the morning. My plans were to take a bus to Epcot or MK then take the monorail to the TTC and then switch to the resort monorail to the GF. This plan seems a bit complicated and time consuming though. I thought that we could also take a bus to Epcot and the hop on another bus to the Grand Floridian but I wasn't sure if busses ran back to the resorts that early. Would it just be easier to take a taxi? How much do you think it would cost? What time should we leave if we decide go do the bus or monorail route? Thanks for any advice and sorry for so many questions!

Just take the bus to the MK and then hop on the resort monorail at the MK.(pay attention to the signs at the monorail entrance ramps to be sure you are getting on the resort monorail). No need to change monorails at the TTC. If the boats are running, you could also take a boat from the MK to the GF.

You didn't say how early you need to get to the GF. If it is well before the MK opens, ask the OKW Front Desk CMs where/when to catch the early morning character breakfast bus (runs before park opening to get guests to their early morning PS/ADR meals). Tell the driver you need to get to the GF. Chances are very good that they will take you there directly.

If you decide to take a taxi, it will run between $12 and $15, including tip (unless the rates have been recently raised due to the price of gas).

Best wishes-

Thank you so much. The Cm that I made the ADR with said to be at the docks at the GF at 9 am to make sure the girls are fitted for Lifevests and such. I was really worried that we would have to be up at 6am just to make it in time with all the switches in the monorail and busses. I didn't realize that I can hop on the resort monorail right at MK. that makes things a whole lot simpler. Thanks so much. :flower:

The boats should be running too then and if so the GF is the first stop leaving from MK - and then you are pretty close to where you leave for the Pirate Cruise so I would probably go that route...especially if you see the boat there or coming...for the monorail the GF would be the last stop from the MK -- (stopping first at Cont, TTC, Poly and then GF.

Last summer when I took my nephew to the GF for the Pirate Cruise I then returned to the Poly to get my niece and daughter for the Princess tea -- at any rate it took me 45 minutes to go the whole loop on the monorail what with stopping and waiting etc.
