Transportation to Downtown Disney Hotels

Hi everyone ! I have read on WDW website that Magical Express is not available to guests staying at the Downtown Disney® Resort Area Hotels. Can someone tell me more about that ?

They are not Disney resorts so they are not eligible for Disney's Magical Express. You would have to arrange your own transportation to your hotel.

More about what? It's not available to DTD hotels. Not much else to tell.

If you mean DME, there are hundreds of threads about that on this forum, just look down the page a bit. In a nutshell it's free bus transportation from MCO to WDW owned and operated hotels. No other hotels are included including SOG, and the S/D.

Since DME isn't available to the DTD hotels, you might want to check out the various towncar services. Or try the Mears shuttle service. These were all in effect before DME came along and, for the most part, gave very good service. Of course, they aren't 'free' but that's a benefit to staying in a Disney owned resort.
