Hello,

We have a group going to Disney staying at pop century in about 2 weeks. One person is flying into Sanford vs MCO. Those flying into MCO will take the magic express. What sort of transportation options does he have to get down to Pop Century? Does Disney have a bus that goes up there by chance?

Thanks,
Aaron

Lake Buena Vista Palace it is a Down Town Disney Resort and very close to the DTD Market place bus stop. We have also returned to the Dolphin or Swan Can't remember which but we find the LBV Palace Location the easiest.

We rented a car from Alamo at the Sanford airport just last week and drove to Pop Century. The drive was SUPER easy. I think that renting a car was the way to go. When we booked our airfare, we got a free upgrade from a compact car to fullsize.

One thing I did forget. The person coming into Sanford is 21 and boy cars to rent for him are expensive.

Do you guys know if Disney offers any sort of transporation to and from Sanford?

Disney doesn't. Car service is about $200 R/T. Probably wipes out airfare savings.

edited to add: Renting will probably be the cheapest option, even after paying a young driver surcharge.

Can someone (an older adult) rent from WDW or MCO and go pick up the young man from Sanford? Of course this works only if the older person is arriving well before the Sanford flight gets in. That will be much cheaper, but a hassle either way.

OP, check the Sanford airport website for transportation options to WDW. Last time I flew in there there were some independently operated bus/ car services. The bus services are cheaper but they make several stops within the Disney area so it will add significantly to the transportation time (unless you get lucky with a first stop). This was a few years ago, so not too sure what is available now.

There are a couple of shuttle services that we have used (One was Orlando Carriers http://www.orlandocarriers.com/, will have to get the other names for you). You can take a cab (last time I checked it was $150 from Universal hotels to Sanford - ouch) In Oct. we had one person going back early on an early -morning light and had to book a car service for about $125 because the shuttle didn't run that early. PS I just called Orlando Carriers, From Sanford airport to Disney is currently $35 plus a tip, round trip $70.00. Only problem (for me anyway as it's Allegiant and leaves at 8:00 am), the shuttle service only starts at 11:00 AM. But maybe that will help your person!
