We're staying at the Fairfield on Harbor. Last time we took a taxi. Is this still the best way to go? We will not need any transportation other than to/from the airport.

This weekend I stayed @ GCH, and used Super Shuttle each way. Going I nearly had the van to myself, and coming back it was full, but it was okay. If you book online, it's nine bucks each way, plus a like 18% gratuity... It's a dollar off if you book round trip.

I've never taken a taxi, so I can't say. But this was me travelling solo, so it probably worked better for me. Donno how big your party will be, or if it will work out better in a taxi. But Super Shuttle was excellent for me.

We always take a taxi from SNA. About $40, and they have vans that han hold up to maybe 7 passengers for the same price.

We always do a taxi as well, because there are five people in our family, and it just adds up better to take a taxi rather than a shuttle that can often charge per person. Some shuttles will have family rates, but not all.

I like the set up they have at SNA--you just grab your luggage and go out to the taxi lane, and they have either cars or vans all lined up just waiting to drive you to Disneyland! They know that is where many people who fly in there go, so they have a well honed taxi system with set rates to Disney.

Good luck,
Lisa

Are there vans parked right outside of the terminal or do you need to phone ahead and ask for one? We will have 5-7 in our group and are trying to decide between Super Shuttle or a taxi.

:confused: both in UG/Passporter i've read that the taxi rates aren't set...you're on the meter???

which is why im probably going to book primetimes GoSedan or shuttle in lieu of the cheaper "estimated" taxi fare...was just worried about the possibility of the meter ticking while stuck in possible traffic.:confused3

does anybody know for sure?popcorn::

There are taxi vans parked right outside the terminal, no need to reserve. It would be cheaper for you to do a taxi van with that many people.

There is a flat rate that the taxis are required to give you on your way to the DLR area (they are under contract with the airport to provide this rate). However, on the way back to the airport, they are under no such obligation, and will want to charge you by mile. I either get a business card up front from the taxi driver who took me there and work out a return flat rate, or I ask the hotel to help me find a flat rate taxi back to the airport.

We've used Primetime Go Sedan 2 trips... and loved them... they are more expensive then a shuttle, but they are on-time (even early) and you get a really nice comfortable car to yourselves...

im leaning toward booking them to pick us up @ airport...:worried: so nervous re planning 1st trip to DL (think it comes from unfamiliar territory-on autopilot @ MCO lol)

If you take a taxi, do you have to bring a carseat? We are flying into Orange County and are trying to decide the best mode of transportation to the Carousel Inn.

Thanks

From what I have read, the taxis won't make you use a car seat, but if they get pulled over and ticketed, you get the ticket. Me, I wouldn't risk driving in anything other than a bus without a car seat...
