For the first time, we are staying offsite at Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando - Lake Buena Vista in the Marriot Village. We used Mariott points to book our stay.

We arrive on March 13 th & leave on March 21st. **We would appreciate input on the hotel itself.**

**ALSO - Transportation Advice Needed**

How would you recommend getting to hotel from airpor

The hotel advertised that they run a shuttle to the parks. We are wondering how early & often the shuttle runs?

We want to get to Hollywood studios well before rope drop to get our boarding passes for ROR.

Would we be better off getting an Uber or Lyft to get to & from the parks? Or rely on the hotel shuttle?

Also we have the park hopper plus tickets and want go to a water park and also to the 9 golf golf course that is included with our passes. What mode of transport would you recommend for these activities?

TIA for your advice!

You'll have to check with your hotel for the exact times, but my experience has been those shuttles leave too late for rope drop. They are usually limited on where they go. For example, they will drop you off at the ticket and transportation center and you will have transfer there.

Once you are on Disney property, you can use all their transportation to get around for free. If you are at your hotel, you would again use Uber/Lyft to take you there.

For Magic Kingdom, I would likely Uber or Lyft to Saragota Springs and take the bus from there. That is the closest Disney resort to your hotel and the Disney bus from Saratoga will drop you off right at MK.

And this is why I'll never stay off Disney Property (I would stay Disney Springs and Bonnet Creek) without a car. You will need to depend on the Uber/Lyft system otherwise you will spend HOURS on buses. The shuttle only goes to the TTC, then you have to transfer.

This is direct from the Marriott Village website ...

I would recommend renting a car since you are there for the week. You can get reasonable rates if you book through Costco or BJs. Since you are booking hotel with points, it may leave you some extra wiggle room in your budget to rent a car and pay for parking at the parks. Do you have to pay to park at that hotel?
We always stay offsite because we have 5 kids and the cost comparisons for an offsite condo and two hotel rooms on property can't be compared. Having a car makes getting to and from the park easy and stress free (for us). I honestly cannot imagine taking an offsite Disney vacation without having a car. I know for some people, driving on vacation is something they can't deal with, but those people usually try to stay on property. Good luck!!!!
