We are arriving at LAX Tuesday 9/20/05 around noontime - three adults and a 6 month old - staying across the street from DL and returning Saturday 3/24/05. What would be the best suggestion as to transportation to/from LAX? This is our first trip to the land. Also, how crowded should it be? According to the convention center website the food equipment manufacters association will be in town starting thursday.

Honestly, I'd probably rent a car. Transport from LAX to Anaheim is going to be pretty expensive, as LAX is the furthest airport from where you're going.

We've had this same question except we will have 3 adults and 4 children and a TON of luggage. It was going to be $89 to have a service pick us up but then they told the TA that we would be picked up in a mini-van. NO WAY were we all going to fit, let alone the luggage! So now we have opted for Disney's Magical Express bus. They told us they run about every 30 minutes and there is no need for reservations Plus they will cost $15 per person for everyone over 3 years old. And we won't have to worry about the luggage not fitting! Just a thought for you....

I think the Magical Express Bus is for WDW, not DL? Or are you talking about something else?

NJHOO - SuperShuttle roundtrip is going to run you about $30 per person roundtrip, so you're looking at $90 if you would like to compare prices.

I'm using Super Shuttle which is $30. round trip for adults (ages 3 and up). I bought the 2006 Entertainment coupon book and they have a 50% online offer for Supper Shuttle service which is good for my 8/30 trip :earsgirl: .

We used Super Shuttle last week with no problems. We got picked up at 3:40 AM with no problems.

Thank you all for your responses, I think we're going to use the Super Shuttle, will we need to make advance reservations?

You can prepay on their website and we provided all our information. But you still need to see the dispatcher at the loading area to catch a van. I showed the driver my printout of the receipt and he copied some numbers and we walked into the hotel. For the return trip you call them 24 hours in advance to set up your return trip. I told them my flight was earlier than it was in case we encountered any delays on the return trip.

Really? It's food equipment? Are we allowed to go? Do I watch too much Unwrapped? :teeth:

This may be what she's talking about:

All Aboard the Disneyland Resort Express!
The Disneyland Resort and Gray Line have teamed together to create a new service that removes the hassles and headaches of airport transportation. "Disneyland Resort Express" offers hassle-free, convenient, and on-time transportation between the Disneyland Resort and Los Angeles International (LAX) or John Wayne/Orange County (SNA) airports.

Disneyland Resort Express, an airport to Resort transfer service only, replaced the airport bus service formerly operated by Coach USA. The new buses feature an easy to identify Disneyland 50th Anniversary look and include video and on-board restroom facilities
Note: The Disneyland Resort Express should not be confused with Disney’s Magical Express at the Walt Disney World Resort. The Disneyland Resort Express does not involve baggage transfers direct to hotel rooms. .

-Sounds like some new service they're offering. This might be similar to the Magical Express in Orlando, except for the baggage transfers.
It also mentions about contacting a Walt Disney Travel Company sales agent for more info.
