Transportation options to DTD from SSR (with 90 yr old)

We will be staying at SSR (hopefully in Congress Park area close to DTD) in May. Will have my 90 yr old mom with us on Mother's Day, with an afternoon reservation at Raglan Road. With all the construction at DTD, we are concerned we won't be able to park close enough for her to walk comfortably. Is there still handicap parking in the lot (she has a permit)? Can we drop her off near the restaurant, then park the car elsewhere? She walks fine on short distances, but the walk from SSR to the restaurant would be too much. Or should we consider dining somewhere other than DTD? I know it will be busy that day.

Have you considered getting her a wheelchair and walking? That would be the easiest may to manage it.

Should have added that she is very stubborn, and wheelchair is not an option Thanks for the suggestion though!

I'm pretty sure there's no way to get a car close to Raglan Road now. What used to be the PI parking lot is now the construction site for the Town Centre area of Disney Springs.

The closest parking is at the new garage, the walkway from which is between Planet Hollywood & the movie theaters. Unfortunately, there's a rather steep hill to climb to get from that area to Raglan Road.

How about taking the bus to the MktPl & walking from there? The new causeway from RainForest to Fulton's makes the walk a bit shorter than before.

I would take the bus if she is unwilling to use a wheelchair. Even if you COULD theoretically park close, there is never any guarantee that there will be a handicap parking spot available. Every time I tried it, all those spaces were occupied. Maybe you can explain all that to her, and tell her that the best option really is a wheelchair, and then let her pick out of the available options. The hardest part is for the senior to admit that it's OK to ride in a wheelchair. Been there, done that, and my mom (also 90) has been using a wheelchair at Disney (and anywhere that there is a LOT of walking) for a few years now.
