Transportation Observation

We are staying at WL right now and have had rotten luck with transportation. My DH was just waiting 30 minutes for a bus to MK. In that time two Epcot busses, a HS bus and AK bus came. WL is so close to MK....it makes us wonder why it takes so long. I took the boat and got to the park and into the line to meet Mickey within that 1/2 hour. Disappointed....truly.

Happens to us all the time - we sometimes change parks because another bus shows up first.

Guests often get upset when they see three buses for one Park, and none for another park.

The five bus hubs operate independently, for the most part. One may be running behind, while another has more buses than it knows what to do with at the moment. And a bus' next route is determined before it arrives at the hub. Delays encountered loading or unloading at the hub and at all of the stops on the way to your resort can easily put it 10 minutes behind schedule.

It would be nice if a bus arriving at a resort could pick up for the park with the longest wait or the most guests waiting, but that's just not the way the system operates.

You also have to remember you have the Boat service so there are fewer people going to the MK by Bus.

When we stayed at WL we ALWAYS took the boat;it's faster and gets you to the entrance.

One of the advantages of staying at a Moderate resort or SSR, is that you can park near the bus stops. If a Disney bus takes more than ten minutes, hop in the car and go!

Can't really do that at the Deluxe resorts though. Maybe call the valet to bring the car to the bus stop...

We have been standing in line for one park a bus for another park has come in. If there were no people waiting they have flipped the sign to the park we were waiting for. Has happened to us several times. Especially at night when the lines were less.
