Transportation...I'm Lost

I am trying to research to best way from the airport to get to our hotel at the Port the night before our cruise. I'm getting lost in all the helpful threads. Can anyone share what they do and their experiences?

You can hire Cocoa Beach Shuttle to get you from the airport to Cape Canaveral. Their website (www.cbshuttle.com) shows their prices. Another option is a one-way rental car to drop off at Port Canaveral. We were going to use CB Shuttle, but ended up flying in an extra day ahead and touring around on that day, so the rental car was better for us. As for returning from the port to MCO, the one-way rental car was about the same price as CB Shuttle and allowed us to ride around town because we have a late flight out.

Car service or rental car would be your best options. www.happylimo.com is one car service, Tiffany is another, FL Tours is a third. There are many reputable companies to check into. Rental car would probably cost less money, but have a bit more work involved to pick it up, drive it, gas it up, drop it off and get back to the hotel or port.

A rental car will be cheapest. You pay for a 24 hour rental, not a calendar day. You'd be able to make a store stop, go out to dinner, or whatever. You can make a choice to keep the car (drop it on the way to the terminal and take car rental shuttle to the port), drop it off that night, etc...a whole new set of decisions.

Rental discounts are available at rentalcodes.com and mousesavers.com. I've paid $46 and $92 for a mini-van, typically under $50 for a full sized car including all taxes and fees.

we rented a jeep grand for the night to get from airport to hotel. Cost with tax came to like $65 from Budget. Than hubby will drop us off at port in the morning and we will check in and he will go return car. Now going from port to Disney we are using disney transportation.

That's why a lot of us stay the night at our near the airport, not the port, there are more transportation options on departure day (DCL buses for example) than heading over the day before.
