I need some help getting to the HOJO so I thought I would come hre to ask. ;) We are flying into LGB on Sat. Nov 15th and flying out on the the 18th. I have looked at renting a car, but honestly it seems a little pricey to me. Now, I know that since this is a last minute trip it can be more costly, but I want to look at all my options before I get a rental car. So, how did you get from the airport to the HOJO. Did you rent a car?/ did you take a shuttle?? or a cab?? what are the prices for these other options?? I know I have seen these questions asked before, so sorry to ask again but I need to get working on it since I will be leaving in 6 days!!:cool1: :cool1: Any help you could throw my way would much appreciated!!

Walk across the street to the car rental area, and you will see many private shuttle drivers just waiting for fares. Most will cost about 15 to 20 dollars a person. They are all nice. Ask for their business card, and give them a call when you are ready to return from the hotel.

From LGB to Hojo on Super Shuttle it costs $35 for the first person, and $9 for each additional, each way. Here's a discount code, though, for $3 off per person: http://www.retailmenot.com/view/supershuttle.com

If you have 4 or fewer, you might just want to take a cab. It should be a $40 flat fee (but make sure this is the case before you take the cab) and it will cost more on the way back, depending on the traffic, when they run the meter-- usually $50-65.

Some people really prefer to rent a car, and go get groceries or explore elsewhere on their trip... I don't like to fool with it, personally, especially since we like staying in walking distance.

Hope you enjoy HoJo; we loved it last month! :thumbsup2

Have a great trip! :goodvibes

Hi ~

We used a car service last April and plan to go with them again next month.

Our drivers name is Ron and his business card says VIP Service (Kim Sontha Transportation). The number is (562) 396-8106 (company number) OR the number where he has always answered is 562-895-6713.

We were a group of 5 in April and will be a group of 5 next month ~ we got picked up from LGB in a Lexus SUV and were taken back to the airport in a Toyota Highlander. We paid $45 each way.

We are flying into LGB on November 19th for the first time. We usually fly into SNA and grab a cab. I called LGB airport and they said a cab is a $45 flat fee the way in and metered on the way back. If you hit traffic or construction that could equal alot of $$$. So we just called the above car service. $48 each way and a Lexus SUV will be picking us up so there will be plenty of room! Hope that helps!

We are flying in to LGB on the 21st. We rented a car for 135 for the 4 days we are there. We looked into a shuttle and it was the same price. This way we have the car to put our belongings in while we are at the park on the last day. We dont have to worry about having storage from the hotel.

Ok, I just called Ron and was able to book with him. But he didn't take down much info from me. Just my first name, flight number and time I am arriving. Should I be worried that he won't be there?? He was reliable, right??

That's all he took from us too. But He knew we were flying from Pheonix when I gave him the flight number. I have heard other good reviews on them. We had a car service in Orlando last year for our WDW trip and they took the same info (or lack thereof!) so I wouldn't be worried.
