Transportation from Yacht Club to Polynesian

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to figure out a timeline for our evening reception after our wedding. We have reservations at the Yacht Club for 5:30pm. Not sure how long dinner will take, it is our wedding reception dinner. After dinner we have a Wishes cruise booked which we need to be back at the Polynesian at 9 PM.

We are planning on hiring 2 town cars to take us back to the Polynesian. But I'm having trouble deciding on a time to give them to pick us up after our dinner. Would 7:30 or 8 be about right?

Thanks for the info...I just don't want us to get there too early (depending on how long our dinner lasts). So if I make a reservation to be picked up by the town car at 8, we will have quite a bit of time to kill before our cruise. Maybe we will walk around the grounds at the Polynesian or something??

First, congratulations on your wedding!
I think having the cars pick you up at 8:00pm at the Yacht Club is a good idea. Your guests can explore the Poly and then head over for your cruise.
Personally I would rather be early than get caught rushing around. Just make sure everyone knows where to meet for the cruise in case some people wander off and explore the Poly by themselves.

Just a thought... have you considered doing an Illuminations cruise instead? You could get on the boats at the YC dock, or right across at the Boardwalk dock. Might be easier....

My sister had a intimate wedding in 12/03 and we had their wedding night dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse (not sure if that is where you are going), but it was fabulous!! After, we headed to Epcot for an Illuminations Dessert Party.

Thanks for the suggestion..but our wedding is next Saturday so we couldn't really book an illuminations cruise now. Besides we are so excited for our wishes cruise! I'm just going to plan on being picked up at 8 and we'll have some time to look around and stuff. Only 10 more days to go!
