Transportation from WDW resorts to Sea World?

How does this work? Is there a fee per person? Are there specific times and pick up locations?

Should I just give up and rent a car?

I'd love to hear some tips from those of you who have done this in the past. We are usually WDW only trippers, but the girls are 4 and 6 now and we're looking to expand a bit. Sea World should be perfect.. but we don't rent a car. We use all Disney transportation.

This trip will be with an infant as well, and we don't want the hassle of renting a car, plus 2 car seats and a booster seat. Sounds like A LOT of work.
But if the provided transportation stinks... is this the best way?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

I have this EXACT same question, so I hope someone answers! We are going to WDW in Sept and will not have a car, but would really like to go to Sea World. I hope there's a way to get there!

Thanks!

We got a car service in 2007. I beleive it cost around $50 round trip for 3 adults, 1 child (not including the tip). We called and requested a car from our resort room. But, usually, my experience is that there are all kinds of car services sitting out in the parking lots of both the resorts and SeaWorld, so you probably will not have any problem finding transportation. You can also ask the CMs at the lobby of your resort.

After perusing the Sea World threads, I think a taxi or car service really is our best option. Then we can go and come back exactly when we'd like to.
Thanks for tip!

*********** Tours transportation Orlando, has a 10 passenger van that will take us from POP Century to Seaworld roundtrip for $85. plus tip.

I got a news letter from Quick Silver with a $10 off discount, until July 31/09
I just hope they send a new coupon for September.

You can take Lynx Bus #50 from Downtown Disney or the Transportation Centre.
I have been told for $3.00 total, for the trip. But with little kids, strollers etc. it might be easier in a van.

I think we will take the van and save the time getting to the bus stop, walking thru a parking lot. etc.

Hope this helps.

When we went from POFQ to SeaWorld last August, we took a cab. The bell service called for us and one came up almost immediately. When you leave SeaWorld, there is a line of cabs waiting to take you back. I think it was around $25 - $30 each way plus tip for the two of us. With cabs, I don't think it matters how many there are as long as you can all fit in of course :) It is a fun trip even in the summer heat! We will be doing it again when we go in less than one week :woohoo:
