Transportation from SNA to Anaheim Resort Area?

Hi friends! I just saw that the EVE shuttle (run by ART) has been temporarily suspended until further notice for trips to and from SNA to the Anaheim Resort Area. I am so bummed! I use EVE on every trip. It's $15 one way and feels very safe for a single woman traveling alone. Can you tell me what the next best and safest option will be? I have never used Uber or Lyft before! I downloaded both apps and was playing around with the "reserve for a later date" option. It quoted the one way trip at $60! Is this accurate? That seems very expensive. Are taxis available? How much do they cost typically? My trip is on Saturday, December 6th.

Problem with EVE is that hardly anyone used it. The program likely ran out of funding. It’ll burn through cash quick when just one person, or a family, is on the shuttle and it goes empty the other way. IMO, it’d be silly to replenish.

A ride share will start around $30 each way. The rate will depend on traffic and demand. Reserved pick-ups incur a premium, as you noticed above. Be certain to check both Uber and Lyft; when I looked 5 minutes, Uber was $48 whereas Lyft $32. It also helps if you check the rates when you first land, then close the app (do not reserve). You may receive a coupon - Uber sent me a 10% off and Lyft $10 off, within a couple minutes of me checking.

A taxi charges a flat $50 rate to anywhere in Anaheim, plus an airport mandated $3 fee.

Private transfers start at $100 each way. I offer no recommendations for these services, although others on the board do.

Public transpiration will cost $4. It’s pretty simple - just two busses, and you can get on at the airport and off at the drop off. But it’ll take 90 minutes, and if you’re not familiar with the area, it may be uncomfortable.

All of the major rental companies have an office near Disneyland. You can get a car for around $50, including tax.

Very helpful information - thank you so much! I will wait to book an Uber or Lyft until I land and try the trick you mentioned about closing the app but not reserving to possibly receive a discount code. I think you're right about EVE losing funding. I was typically the only person on the shuttle. They even stopped using the electric shuttles and would send an entire ART bus for one person. Probably not feasible for the long-term but I really enjoyed using the service on my trips. The drivers were always super nice.
