Hello,

My wife and I along with our (almost) two-year old grandson are traveling to LA on a 5-day cruise out of Vancouver. We arrive at the San Pedro cruise ship terminal and need to find a transportation source to get to Anaheim.

Any suggestions (we have learned that a cab will be $91- $105) for economical transportation would be greatly appreciated.

You can use Prime time shuttle http://www.primetimeshuttle.com/cruise_ship_service.htm. Just make sure you select LA cruise terminal NOT the Carnival one which is in Long Beach. (You probably know this)
It is about $50 for a shuttle in the van and about $75 for a car service. The only thing I would wonder about is the child seat for your grandchild. I'm not sure if they provide this or if you'll have your own. They will pick you up right at the pier.

Your other option is to rent a car and there is an Enterprise across from the terminal. (They would pick you up). I would think that it could just about as expensive though for a one day rental with drop off fees.

Hope this helps.:)

I just booked Prime time shuttle for our March cruise.
Also Super Shuttle is another option.

Can't comment on them yet as this is our first trip to California.

Hi Aristocat 65,

That would be WONDERFUL! Thank you.:thumbsup2

We ended up booking a limo with them, instead of a shutttle van as a surprise for the kids. It wasn't much more then the van. There are 9 of us, so it seemed like a good option.

I have tried to book with prime time shuttles to go fromSanpedro docks to Anaheim on the 24th september as well but can not seem to be able to book anyone help thanks

First you need to choose FROM or TO an airport from the drop down bar ( this includes the port as well...look for Los Angeles harbour..that is the San Pedro cruise terminal). You can call them to book if you are still having trouble.

Thank you I did try to book doing what you said but ti would not give me anaheim as the destination I will try again and then likely just phone them , thanks again. Maureen

Hi son3disfan,

We are back from a wonderful cruise (NCL) from Vancouver to LA plus one day in Disneyland. My wife and I along with our (just turned two yesterday) grandson had a marvelous time.

In regard to the Prime Time Shuttle we were very pleased. As we disembarked from the cruise ship at San Pedro (along with a couple thousand other passengers) we were quickly taken by a porter (3 large suitcases, stroller, car seat) to the area where 3 Prime Time Shuttle were waiting for us. We were directed to the "Anaheim" area shuttle and were at our hotel in about 40 minutes. The shuttle taking us to LAX a couple days later was about 25 minutes late (we were the last passengers to be picked up on that run) but this was no problem as we had built in an hour's "window".

Enjoy your March cruise!

That's wonderful to hear! Thank you so much for your reply.

How was just one day in Disneyland? That is what we are planning to do as well. Did you find you were able to see everything or was it too rushed?
Glad to hear you had you good time! What a lucky grandson!

Hi son3disfan,

Since Eric was so young (turned 2 the day after we got back to Calgary) we thought one day would be enough. As it turned out the park opened at 8:00 a.m. that day (Sept. 25) and didn't close until midnight. We arrived at 8:50 a.m. and by 10:00 had done all all the kids' rides that we had learned get busy later in the day. What amazed us was that (other than a quick nap of 45 minutes while I cooled off at Splash Mountain) he stayed awake all day. We left the park at 9:00 p.m. and were back at our hotel in time to watch the fireworks (he didn't care for the loud noise).

His favourite rides were (in order): King Arthur's Carousel, Small World and Dumbo. He also enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean and Winnie the Pooh. Got great one on one pictures with Pluto and Goofy.

Enjoy your trip,
