Transportation from Orlando Airport to Downtown Disney?

We will be arriving at Orlando Airport the day before embarkation. We are staying at Hyatt Regency at the airport and planning on taking Disney bus to the port. Since we are arriving in the morning on the day before the cruise, we have all of afternoon to kill time, and we'd like to go to Downtown Disney.

What are the ways to go to Downtown Disney from Orlando Airport besides renting a car?

We want to compare the prices vs. renting a car for 1/2 day.

Uber Black from MCO to Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney) and then any Uber back. As of November, MCO is now allowing only Uber Black to pick up at MCO (previously none could), but any Uber can drop-off. Costs will vary on this, but probably on-par with taxi or private hire.

Outside of Uber, you could take a taxi, quotes for the drive are roughly $60 (each way) https://www.taxifarefinder.com/main...nternational+Airport+(MCO)&to=Downtown+Disney.

You could also consider hiring a private car. Round trip rates would be roughly $140 (unless you pay by the hour which would be more probably).

Finally, you can take the Orlando Lynx (the public bus). It'll cost about $4 each way, but will take about 2 hours with transfers (should be a 25 minute drive).

Given how cheaply you can rent a car through Costco (and other similar travel services), the rental might be your best bet. Parking is free around Disney Springs and you could just return the car when you are done since you're staying at MCO. There may be other options I'm unaware of though such as sneaking onto DME or one of the Disney Springs area hotel buses perhaps (I wouldn't advise it nor could you count on being able to get back).

Thank you so much - we were only interested in the "legit" ways to get to Disney Springs (I forgot it's called differently now!), so this was quite helpful. I agree, it looks like rental car is the way to go considering the hassle.

We rented a car for the day. It worked well for us. I watched for rental deals and we only paid $30 for the day.
