Transportation from Galveston to George Bush Airport

Does disney offer a shuttle from Galveston to iah airport? We are taking the San Juan to Galveston cruise in November.

Yes, there should be transfers available to book. Per the website:

Airport Transfers

Ground transfers between George Bush Intercontinental Airport and the Port of Galveston are available for purchase for sailings in 2024. Airport transfers are available on embarkation and debarkation days only, for $45 per Guest. Private transfers can be purchased for sailings in 2025. Guest transportation will begin at 9:15 AM. Guests arriving prior to that time can enjoy the airport amenities until transportation begins.

You read it the same way I do - that in 2025, don’t expect a DCL transfer.

Boy, I went right to worst case scenario! It does seem like DCL will work to find a solution to providing transportation.

How do PAT times and Disney Transfers work? I am also on the San Juan sailing and was told the bus would pick us up from baggage claim C at 10:30. That means we should get to the port at 12pm ish. If our PAT is for later, say 1pm, does Disney let us go through when we get there becasue we were using therir transportation? Do we have to sit out side in the sun and wait for our PAT? Is there a place to wait inside if we can't get checked in till our PAT?

The PAT you get when doing online check in is mute since you're using DCL transfers. You will be allowed in as soon as the bus unloads. At least that's been our experience.

We're doing the transfer to IAH after our December Galveston cruise. There may be cheaper ways, but Disney transfer should be the easiest.

DCL transportation PAT will get you into the terminal but you may have to wait for your Boarding Group to be called. But I don’t know what Galveston is like - do they have an indoor or out of the sun place?

The Galveston terminal does have an air-conditioned indoor waiting room, so once inside you’re fine while waiting for your BG to be called.

We're on a Galveston sailing in February and our travel agent booked a DCL transfer back to IAH for us last week. We're arriving two days early so have a private car from IAH to Galveston. The DCL at least compared to a car service was cheaper.
