Hi everyone! I am a newbie to the DLP board. We're tentatively planning to be at DLP for three nights in June (June 15 - 18). Getting to DLP isn't a problem, but I was wondering what transportation exists from DLP (specifically the Disneyland Hotel) to Charles de Gaulle airport. Is there a shuttle? Forgive my ignorance, but I haven't been able to find this information.

Thanks,
Julie

Hi Julie and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

There are VEA shuttles that run from CDG to Disneyland Paris so you'll have no problems with transport. Have a look at the Useful Info stickie and you'll find links to timetables :)

VEA bus is convenient and inexpensive. TGV train is the fastest (10 minutes). Taxi is most convenient but expensive (but the cost is for all passengers, not per person).

We took the bus from Disneyland Hotel. It took less than an hour - very convenient. Brought us right to Terminal 2. CDG has a LOT of walking inside (as we found out). Be sure to allow enough time until your flight. I think ours left about 2PM and we left the hotel on the 10AM shuttle. The Disneyland Hotel is the first pickup so you hit all the other hotels at DLP before heading to the airport.
We did ck into the train, but were discouraged to do so by the people at the Hotel. Apparently the train ticket office does not like to sell tickets for such a short haul! Anyway, we took the bus and it was great.
Good to hear from you again. We got our DVD and also were able to order additional pictures from the website they provided. They came within 10 days.
Almost forgot - the shuttles leave regularly from the hotels, I think it is about every half hour in the AM You can ck with guest services when you arrive.

Interesting. We never had any problem buying tickets for the TGV train. They were happy to take our money.

Thanks! I think the shuttle looks the simplest. It's good to know that it's there, is all.

And thanks for the reminder about the link to the helpful links. I got a lot of stuff there. It's going to be very different.

Any other questions please post away :)

I rented a car when I went and I thought that it was a great experience. The rules of the road are the same as the US: sit on the left and drive on the right. It is also convenient if you want to take any side trips. I drove up to Normandy, to Versailles and down the Champs Elysees around the roundabout at the Arc De Triumph (not for the faint of heart) and of course to Disneyland. If you opt for the rental you really need to be able to drive stick (manual transmission) because automatic cars can run $150 a day and that's just crazy.
