If I am staying on Disney property (SSR) then how can I get to SeaWorld if we are not renting a car??
Anyone able to fill me in on this one? Any help is appreciated. :flower3:

I have exactly the same question today so I'm joining this thread. We usually rent a car, but are not doing that for the next trip.

Same here. We need some sort of transport to both Sea World and Universal.
The easiest thing to do is call Mears...they offer shuttles to all the theme parks from Disney. You just have to call 24 hours in advance.

There's also a Lynx bus that goes from the TTC to SeaWorld. If my memory is correct, it's the number 50.

We did the Mears shuttle last year to Discovery Cove. It was a nice tour bus, kind of like the buses used for ME. The cost was $48 for three of us, round trip. They picked us up at our resort. We made stops at other Disney resorts as well. Then they made stops at various destinations -- Sea World, Discovery Cove (and I can't remember where else). We were given a receipt that we were to give our driver on the return trip and I time that we would be picked up. We were actually running late and called Mears at the last minute. They assured us it wouldn't be a problem, just be on the next scheduled bus. On the way back we stopped at a number of Disney resorts as well, but it was nice to see some other resorts, even if it was just to drop off people. I highly recommend this service.

The local bus service is called Lynx. Seems to me $2 is the price for 1 way.
Here's the link to their trip planner:

I tried it out giving my origin as "Downtown Disney" and destination as "SeaWorld"...a message popped up to the side asking me to choose which SeaWorld (eg Discovery Cove or SeaWorld of Florida) I chose SeaWorld of Florida) and I just tried a random date and time

The result was great, as it gave estimated travel time, walking times, distances, and if you clicked on any of the stops, another window opened w/ a rudimentary map.

The sample time and date I tried gave the following:
. . . . dep 08:49am DTD Eastbound Side (Rte 50)
. . . . arr 09:08am SEA HARBOR DR and SEA WORLD DR (SIDE: NORTHBOUND)
. . . . Then walk about 5mins (0.31 miles) SE to Seaworld of Florida
So, this trip is about 1/2 hour (not counting however long it takes you to get to the DTD bus stop)
(Rte 111 also does this run, just diff times...)

I also tried to see how to go to Belz Outlet (shopping, lots of walking) from Downtown Disney (same bus stop)
. . . . dep 9:49 from DTD Eastbound Side Rte 50
. . . . get off at 10:09 at a point on I-Drive
. . . . 10 mins later, 10:20, get on Rte 8 northbound
. . . . arr 10:46 at Oak Ridge Rd & I-Drive (Belz),
That's about an hour (not counting however long it takes you to get to the DTD bus stop).

The DTD bus stop is at the northend of the parking lot, NW of Cirque du Soleil, "DOWNTOWN DISNEY SUPER STOP DR (PLEASURE ISLAND)"
-- Coordinates from Google Earth are:28d 22'18.67"N and 81d 31'28.84" W

I also know that it could be possible to get on these buses at the TTC (handy if you're staying at the Poly!)
And that there are some express buses with very limited hours (I guess hours are geared toward a basic start/finish time for people that may work at Disney--so these would not bring you to tourist destinations, but may be able to work in your favour)

Just want to point out again, I've chosen just random dates and times, and for your particular time, there may be diff route/bus/times.
I hope this helps!:cutie:[
