Hi All,

Quick question. Doing our third Disney cruise next March. Have taken Disney transport both previous cruises. Would love to get to the port earlier for the next cruise as it is a three day.

My question is, has anyone doing any other transportation, if so what company and is it comparable price wise. Or has anyone rented a car?

Thanks!

Ann

We always drive from WDW to the port, then drop the rental car back at the port. It means we can travel on our own schedule and stop on the way if needed.

We've used HappyLimo.com on multiple trips and have been very happy, (see what I did there). I don't remember exact pricing but for 4 of us it was less than DCL transfers and we arrived at PC around 10:30 AM. That have sedans, minivans, SUV's and limos. We always do minivans because of all the luggage we take. If you do a search for happy limo discount code, they're available.

We have used DCL transport from both the resorts and from MCO. We have also rented a car with thrifty and dropped it off in Cape Canaveral and taken their shuttle. The way to get to port from the resorts that we like the best is private towncar for the 2 of us. We have used Happy Limo and Tiffany Towncar. Both cost $140 not including tip for both of us.

We've used DCL ground transfers twice from the resorts to Port Canaveral. We were not happy the second time (from Beach Club). We were told that pickup would be at noon. The bus actually picked us up at 12:30 p.m., and then headed over to Boardwalk. We didn't leave Boardwalk until 1:30 p.m. We got to the cruise terminal at 2:45 p.m., and were one of the last to board. Boarding was rushed, and half of our party missed lunch completely.

So on our last cruise, we used FL Tours. They were fantastic. The driver picked us up promptly at 11 a.m. He stopped at a CVS (at our request) so that we could purchase some forgetten toiletries, and later stopped at a McD's so that my wife could use the restroom. We were at the terminal by 12:15 p.m.

They were more expensive than DCL ground transfers for the three of us, but I would never use DCL ground transfers again to get to the terminal after that last experience. (We have been happy with using them for the return trip from the terminal back to the resorts, though.)
