Transportation from Beach Club to Downtown Disney/Disney Springs

We will be staying at the Beach Club the week of Labor Day. I haven't been to Disney since most of the major construction has gone on at downtown Disney or since the parking garage has opened. We will have a rental car. Will it be better to take our car and drive or take a resort bus? I would typically always drive if I have a car because the buses seem to take forever and stop at multiple places before actually arriving. However, I'm not sure what to expect with regards to traffic and parking due to the road construction or just parking availability in general now that the garage is open. Any advice??? TIA.
