Transportation from Animal Kingdom Lodge to another resort

Switching at AK is probably the easiest but there are some other options depending on the destination. MK if going to the Monorail resorts, MK ferry boats to Wilderness Lodge/Ft Wilderness, and HS if going to any resorts on the Skyliner loop. There are some walking options as well (MK->Contemporary, TTC->Poly, HS->Boardwalk/Yacht Club) if it's a nice day and the group is physically able.

I'm not a big fan of buses so I'll remove one of the bus transport legs of a journey if I can.

Heard about it from MS when calling about an up coming stay and was moved to Kidani.

Wow. I had called MS last week and he said Jambo would be open. I am not sure they have been told everything yet.

I don’t think Jambo would work to keep NBA in the bubble. But I could see it being used for guests who are booted out of CSR (?) because of the NBA.

You won't be able to eat at Jambo house. Jambo house it closed to the public form June till Dec because the NBA has rented out the entire resort and the public is band from entering the resort

DVC keeping Jambo rooms out of service while AKL is closed for hotel guests, makes sense and doesn’t seem to violate any POS terms, especially that it may have caused AKV owners to pay 100% of the costs,

Opening AKL to guests, including NBA, would not allow them to take rooms from currently booked owners, except CL as DIsney closed all the lounges for now,

Right now, closure makes sense, But, if I was an AKV owner and that building opens, I would certainly be on the phone questions the legal authority to take those rooms out of service

Just be aware in the mornings that bus transportation is focused on getting people to the parks but not necessarily getting them to resorts. One year we were changing resorts for a split stay and went to HS to catch a bus to Poly. There were lots of drop-offs but no buses stopped at the resort loading area. Finally a kindly bus driver noticed us and called for a separate bus to come and get us. If he hadn’t I don’t know when we would have gotten picked up!

The NBA will most likely be at Corando Springs Resort. There have been numerous reporting of this by sport reporters. . Not AKL. I have only seen one article talk about AKL and the only reason they mention it is because it can’t be booked. The other articles all say CSR per Disney sources. AKL will open when the rest of the resorts open. I know it sucks that it can’t be booked. It’s not many rooms for Disney to staff a an entire hotel for, when AKV is feet away.
