Transportation from a hotel to Cape Canaveral?

Anyone find a reasonable transportation company from an off site (Universal) hotel to a Disney Cruise?
Or even what are my options?

We are doing a one way car rental for drop off at the port for 5 ppl.
It seems to be the cheapest for us.

Hmmmm, never thought of a 1 way rental. Do they have a drop off at Cape Canaveral? or close?

They do have drop off at Cape Canaveral and they can shuttle you to the port.
Avis or Budget with promo code has a good rate.

There is Hertz at each onsite Universal hotel but different rentals have offices at the close offsite hotels. Which hotel are you going to be at?

No - I am doing pre-planning for an April of 2013 trip... Wanting to stay off site though to save a little money.
Any suggestions for an off site hotel too?

The parks are incredibly busy in April. You might want to reconsider staying onsite.

check out the DCL cruise board, lots of info there, including various transportation options.

not sure how long your cruise is, but i've found that even with the daily parking fee (believe it's $15/day) at the pier it was in same ballpark for us to rent a car for a week + a few extra days (using discount codes & coupons) vs 2 daily rentals. Not to mention no hassle with which to deal for my type A personality re shuttles, etc. Especially if you'll be on a short cruise, make sure to price it out both ways & factor in your transportation costs to/from the airport for final comparison.
