Going on the magic in September with my toddler (she'll be 4) and baby (he'll be 17 mo). I don't know the best way to get us to a hotel and then to the cruise ship the following day and then back to the airport after the cruise since they'll both need car seats. I would prefer not to bring any car seats on the plane with me (especially since it will be just me holding all the stuff). Ideally I would also prefer not to rent a car since we're not going to use it more than 3 times and I'll have to pay for parking at the cruise terminal.

I appreciate any advice!

I also have a cruise out of miami in september! My travel agent inform me that disney has a partnership with two hotels there that they can pick you up at the hotel and drop you off at the port, and when the cruise is done take you back to the airport. I'm not really sure if they can also pick you up at the airport when you arrive and take you to the hotel, but you should give them a call and ask about this services.

Hi! I’m cruising out of Miami next month and have a 4 year old! We are staying at the EB hotel and they have a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. we then booked DCL transfers to the port and back to the airport. Easiest option I think!

you can also do transfers from the Hyatt Centric Brickell but you would need to figure out how to get to the hotel.
we’re not bringing a car seat and don’t want to rely on Uber

Disney has transfers from the airport to the Hyatt Centric Brickell as well~

We were in Miami in August. Heads up for free hotel shttles from the airport. We stayed at the Homewood Suites but the shuttle had limited hours. When a bag was delayed and needed to be retrieved at the airport my DIL had to use uber. Beware of uber as car seats are required. My strongest recommendation is Florida Sunshine Shuttle. They were wonderful, worth every penny and made the trip (with car seats) to and from the port EASY!

We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites Miami Airport. The price included breakfast, shuttle from the airport, and shuttle to the port. We arrived fairly late the night before our cruise, and were not able to make use of the port shuttle as the times are first come first served; so only 9am and 12:30pm were left by the time we got there. However, the airport shuttle was SUPER useful as in my case the luggage did not get to Miami until quite late so I used the hotel shuttle to get back to the airport to retrieve it, and back to the hotel.

Thank you! I'll look into these

I'm going to look into this sunshine shuttle thanks

I saw on the dcl website the Hyatt brickwell and eb. Does dcl have a bus that goes from these hotels to the port?

Yes! With the two littles I’d definitely look into the DCL transfers.
In Miami you would have to take the hotel shuttle back to the airport to pick up Disney transfers UNLESS you booked one of the Disney hotels (which in August were limited). This seemed like a great deal of effort with young children...and you have to pay for Disney transfers so it isn't a direct cost savings...

sorry I reread what you were saying!

its the convenience over cost saving for me! I don’t want to worry about whether or not an Uber will have a car seat and I want to get to the port earlier
