Transport to Universal from WDW

We are planning to go to Universal for the HHN on 27 sept.
At this time we have no car so what would be the best way to get to Universal from WDW esspecially as for the HHN it will be very late when we leave Universal?

What would be the prices for recommended transport?

It is $16 return per person if you use Mears. It is about $35 for a cab before tip.

Wow, thanks for the information! I'm in early planning stages of our January trip and I sweet-talked my DH into taking a week's vacation with a day at Universal!

I was considering renting a car for US and Kennedy Space Center but the Mears is definitely cheaper than one day of car rental (which would then sit in a lot...).

The $16.00 rpund trip is for adults and kids? or the kids ticket are cheaper?

I'm in a similar situation. There will be 3 adults who need transportation back from HHN to WDW. Unfortunately Mears does not have a one way rate so we are looking at $48 for Mears or $35+ for the taxi. Is the taxi more convienent?

Also, in regard to prices for children, I was quoted $16 per person and 3 and under free.
