Does anyone know if any of the non Disney hotels have a bus that runs during or after the parties? So far, all the hotels I've looked at only offer limited transportation during regular park hours.

Do the DTD hotel buses run for hard ticket events? I haven't been able to find any fine print about those.

I always have my car while at the parks but stay at off site hotels most of the time so I have seen that the shuttles to/from the parks are not something you want to rely on much as they have very limited schedules.I would either rent a car or book a hotel near DTD where maybe you can take a taxi or walk to from DTD.Remember there are no buses from the parks to DTD,so you'll have to transfer at a hotel to get to DTD.You of course could get a taxi from the park which will be a bit more as MK is pretty far from most offsite hotels.

I always stay on site. This will be my first time not to do so, but since we just had a big Disney family trip on property in Sept and Christmas is coming up, I just can't afford to do it for this last minute weekend trip.

I had thought about staying at the DTD Hilton because I have free nights, and we could always take transportation to DTD then walk if we needed to, but its completely booked.

So I was hoping that maybe someone knew a hotel that provided transportation from the parties.

The shuttles from DTD to the DTD area hotels run until 3 a.m. (except the Palace - 2 a.m.) If you stay at one of them, you could take the bus from CR to PI and then the shuttle from PI to the hotel.

Also, Lynx bus #50 departs from TTC until 12 midnight. If you get to TTC by midnight, you could ride it to the hotels along Palm Pkwy, including Hilton Garden Inn, Residence Inn, and Homewood Suites. The fare is $2 per person.

The last link above will take you to Google Maps street view. If you zoom out, you can see more hotels along Palm Pkwy. & where the Lynx bus stops are located.

Thanks, that is what I was wondering, but I woke up this morning and the light bulb went off that I had forgotten all about the Swan and Dolphin, so transportation crisis over.

Yes, if a room at the Swan or Dolphin is available within your budget, you get most of the perqs of staying onsite, including the same free transportation as Disney's BW.

I booked the Dolphin this morning. More than I originally wanted to pay, but still less than the least expensive Value, so not too bad. I decided the benefits of not worrying about any of it anymore where worth the extra money. Transportation is one of those little things with my family that can cause people to have melt downs that I prefer to avoid. At the last minute like this, it's just so much easier to stick with what you know. Makes our vacations go much smoother.
