Transport: MCO to PC to KSC to WDW

We (DH, DS and I) are going on our first cruise ever Jan '23. Yay!!! We will then follow with a day at KSC, then a few days at WDW. This is where I need the help of the pros. Recommended stays near KSC and the logistics of transportation from port to rental to nearby lodging to WDW. Is there one way car rental that we can drop off at WDW? Is there recommended lodging near KSC?
We are flying in the night before embarkation, staying at the Airport Hyatt and then planning to take DCL transport to PC. We also have WDW to MCO transportation already sussed.

for your post cruise KSC and transport to WDW portion I'd recommend you seek out your best rent a car deal. Many agencies have drops at the WDW car care center or one of the hotels .... at the port your choices are National, Alamo, Enterprise, Budget, dollar, Thrifty and AVIS. All have shuttles that will pick you up at the pier. There really isn't any better option to get to KSC ... you could UBER but if you add up the pieces a rental will be less I HIGHLY suspect.

Any of the popular port hotels are reasonably convenient to KSC visitor center .... there really aren't any hotels AT KSC. . There's a small cluster of hotels and chain rest' at I-95 and highway 50 but it puts you 10 miles away which is ACTUALLY further than the port and the port area has a better choice for food and there's the beach option . . .

I'd look at ALAMO since it has a rental center and shuttle at the Car Care Center on property by MK.
